There is a spike around 2khz, but like the 701’s it adds a certain energy to the tracks, especially vocals. It has a bit more meat on the bone of the string quartet’s strings, so to speak, the T1 can sound a bit thin. They do have some color to them, which a lot of people will be excited about. Running the Taurus up against the Leben CS300XS, proved them to be on the same level, and actually very similar sounding with the AKG K701. Wow that’s crazy. Usually that is in a good way, though.
